Langhe Chardonnay D.O.C. Canapino
Well structured and remarkable balanced wine, suitable also for medium-long cellaring
WINE TYPE: DRY WHITE
GRAPES: 100% Chardonnay
VINEYARD: Cover-cropped with legumes through end of May, then mulched.
HARVEST: Mid-, September, upon perfect maturation.
HARVEST METHOD: Hand-picked, with rigorous grading of bunches
VINIFICATION: Careful destemming, then soft pressing of the grapes. Temperature-controlled fermentation of the must.
MATURATION: Seven months in stainless steel, then 3 months’ bottle ageing.
CELLARING POTENTIAL: Three years
SENSORY PROFILE
COLOUR: Brilliant straw yellow, with greenish highlights.
BOUQUET: Crisp and rich, with elegant nuances of ripe apple and pear that linger and expand.
TASTE: Dry, with impressive fruit, good seamless progression, expansive and well balanced.
STORING: In cool, dark place, with bottle on its side.
